Perfectly balanced, with fine yet building tannins and terrific purity, it needs just 2-4 years of bottle age and will evolve for 15+. 2025-2040.

Bright redpurplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, mint and blood orange are all finely delineated. Vibrant acids and clean mineral notes give the 2020 its vibrant, saline personality. This is very nicely done. In a word: terrific. Drinking window: 2027-2040.

- 92-94+ Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep purple-black colored, the 2020 Moulin du Cadet springs from the glass with lively scents of plum preserves, wild blueberries and black raspberries, plus suggestions of menthol, chargrill, Indian spices and tree bark. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock-full of ripe, juicy black and blue fruits, framed by velvety tannins and a racy backbone, finishing on a lingering fragrant-earth note. A property clearly on the upward swing, this is one to watch! This 2.85-hectare vineyard was acquired by the Lefévère family in 2015, owners of the nearby Sansonnet and Soutard Cadet. The 100 Merlot vines have an average age of 35+ years and are planted at a density of 6,000 vines per hectare. The soil is a mix of fine clay and limestone.
